Refugees and migrants at the Idomeni border crossing between Greece and Macedonia have been growing increasingly more desperate, following tougher border restrictions imposed by Macedonia.

A local governor has called on the Greek government to declare a state of emergency, as over 10,000 migrants are now stranded at Idomeni. Charities are reporting greater numbers of desperate people arriving, with nowhere left to go.

The European Union and Turkey have gathered in Brussels on Monday to discuss the refugee crisis which has severely strained relations among EU countries.
