ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - More than 11,000 targets have been struck across Iran and over 150 of its vessels have been damaged or destroyed, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Saturday, as Operation Epic Fury against Tehran entered its 30th with the stated aim of dismantling the country’s security apparatus.

In a post on X, CENTCOM said that since its launch on February 28, the operation - ordered by US President Donald Trump - has carried out strikes on more than 11,000 targets “to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat.”

CENTCOM added that over 11,000 combat flights have been conducted, while more than 150 Iranian vessels have been damaged or destroyed.

According to the command, targets included Iranian military “command and control centers, [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] IRGC headquarters… [and] intelligence sites,” as well as “integrated air defense systems, ballistic missile sites, Iranian navy ships and submarines, and anti-ship missile sites.”

The strikes also targeted “military communications capabilities, ballistic missile and drone manufacturing facilities, weapons production and storage bunkers, surface-to-air missile systems and military support infrastructure.”

The US and Israel on February 28 launched a coordinated military campaign against Iran with CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper stating on Thursday that the operation aims to “eliminate Iran’s ability to project power in meaningful ways beyond its borders.”

During a summit in Miami on Friday, US President Donald Trump claimed that US strikes have effectively neutralized the Iranian military’s command structure and specialized assets.

“We’re crushing Iran’s weapons stockpiles, destroying their missiles and drone factories at levels nobody ever thought possible, and turning the defense industrial base into nothing,” Trump said, adding that “Iran’s navy is gone.”

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a recent briefing that Operation Epic Fury is progressing “ahead of schedule” and has already achieved its primary strategic goals.

“The US military is making significant progress, with more than 9,000 targets struck in just over three weeks, leading to an estimated 90 percent reduction in Iran’s ballistic missile and drone attacks,” Leavitt said, adding that “this is the largest elimination of a navy in a three-week period since World War II.”
