The following is a statement by Rudaw Media Network regarding winning three awards at Telly Awards:
Rudaw Media Network has won multiple awards for the second time at the 46th annual Telly Awards, held in the United States. Rudaw won Silver and Bronze awards among more than 13,000 entries from over five continents worldwide.
Silver Winner
The program “Unfinished Stories: Migration: a perilous journey to hope” about Kurdish youth migration to European countries and the dangers they face along the way, won the Silver award. Talented Rudaw journalist Hevidar Ahmed and the program's director Bayar Hakim conveyed the stories and hardships of Kurdish migrants to the world from the Dunkirk jungle, located 235 kilometers north of Paris.
Bronze Winners
The "Bestoon Talk" program, as one of Rudaw's successful and most-watched programs, won a Bronze award. Bestoon Talk, presented by talented host Bestoon Osman, brings together university students from Iraq and Kurdistan with political leaders and decision-makers, creating direct dialogue and interaction between them.
The news bulletin presented by prominent and talented presenter Shahyan Tahsin was another Bronze award winner. Tahsin presents a daily news bulletin that highlights women's rights and their empowerment in social, political, and economic spheres.
These awards place Rudaw Media Network among the ranks of well-known global brands this year, including Netflix, BBC, Al Jazeera, NASA, NBC News, ESPN, LinkedIn, NATO, and MTV, all of which were Telly Award winners.
Regarding this, Amanda Needham, Managing Director of the Telly Awards, said: "This is a great achievement. This year we had more than 13,000 entries. The winners are those innovative stories shown across all screens. As a Telly Award winner, you truly hold exceptional standards in our industry sector."
This recognition comes a year after Rudaw won seven Telly Awards, emphasizing that Rudaw Media Network is recognized as a leading media outlet in the region and worldwide.
"Both Rudaw's awarded programs and bulletin have emphasized conveying people's voices, focusing on issues important to people and society. We are proud that our work is being awarded at an international level,” Ali Jaff, Rudaw's Public Relations Manager, stated.
The Telly Awards, established in 1979, honor excellence in video and television production across all platforms.
