Rudaw Wins Seven Global Awards

Rudaw Media Network marks a significant new achievement on the global stage by winning seven Telly Awards in the United States. Two programs and two documentaries from Rudaw received these seven awards. 

At the 45th Annual Telly Awards, among 13,000 entries from 56 countries, Rudaw managed to win seven gold, silver, and bronze awards. 

Rudaw, alongside several other international organizations, won Telly Awards this year, including Meta, Netflix, NASA, Fox News, BBC, NBC News, MTV, Al Jazeera, Sky News Arabia, Sharq, and many other international organizations and companies. The judging panel for this year's Telly Awards consisted of 200 representatives from international organizations and companies.

The Telly Awards organization was established in 1979 and annually honors the best in video and television productions. The Telly Awards organization states that “the winners of the Telly Awards represent the work of some of the most respected television networks, production companies, and publishers around the world." Amanda Needham, Executive Director of the Telly Awards, congratulated Rudaw Media Network in a letter and wished the Rudaw staff continued success.

The program "Last Alert of Earth" won a gold award in the Environmental Programs category and a silver award in the Environmental and Forestry category. "Last Alert of Earth" in the past season of Rudaw focused on environmental and climate change issues. The special episode on the marshlands of Dhi Qar in southern Iraq won the award.

The program "Next" won a silver award in the General Health and Safety category. Rudaw's "Next" program highlights global advancements in various fields and discusses the future. The special episode featuring how to stay young was filmed in the US and Europe and won the award.

The documentary "The White Building" won a silver award in the Short Documentary category and a bronze award in the Social Impact category. This Rudaw documentary tells the story of a house in Mosul where several Kurdish Yazidi women were held captive by ISIS.

The documentary "Mad Honey" won a silver award in the Short Documentary category and a bronze award in the Culture and Lifestyle category. This Rudaw documentary focuses on a special type of honey in Nepal, discussing its extraction methods and its impact.

"These awards are a testament to the high-quality work of Rudaw's staff, as well as global recognition of the high standard of Rudaw's productions. These awards have brought Rudaw and Kurdish media to the ranks of the world's leading media organizations. This achievement is a great honor for Rudaw," said Ali Jaf, Public Relations Associate at Rudaw. 

These awards give Rudaw more strength and ability to continue producing high-quality work and to present new and innovative productions.
