NEW YORK, United States - Syria was the central focus of a UN Security Council session on the Middle East on Tuesday.
The session, attended by 71 countries, discussed Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
Clips from the floor show tense exchanges between Israeli and Syrian officials.
Israel accused Syria's interim administration of threatening minority groups like the Druze, Kurds, Alawites, and Christians.
Syria, in turn, claimed Israel is exploiting these communities to destabilize the country.
Both sides blamed each other for fueling ongoing instability.
