A law banning tobacco smoking in public places was introduced in Russia last year, on June 1, 2014.
With an army of some 40 million smokers, Russia is the fourth largest cigarette market in the world. And while many Russians have supported the new law – one year after its introduction many people in Moscow still question the efficiency of anti-smoking policies by government.
