A Peshmerga delegation received a red carpet welcome at the Cannes Film Festival.
They were invited to the festival for the screening of a documentary about the Peshmerga, which was written and directed by Bernard-Henri Levy.
Two Peshmerga commanders, Sirwan Barzani and Sheikh Jaffar Mustafa, attended the screening.
Bernard-Henri Levy, the documentary’s director, told Rudaw that the festival had asked for the film to be screened.
Kurdish actress and singer Helly luv who also acted in the documentary was among the delegation.
