HAJI OMRAN, Kurdistan Region – The snowy mountains of Kurdistan Region’s Haji Omran area draw tourists from southern Iraq looking for a winter wonderland.
The tourism sector generates 500 jobs for the local economy and they are expecting a busy New Year holiday.
Travel agencies advise people visiting Haji Omran go with a guide because of its location on the border with Iran.
