ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Almost a week after Iran’s attack on a civilian home in Kurdistan Region’s capital of Erbil, recovery crews said they still have not found the body of a housemaid who was killed in the strike.

Ninety percent of the debris had been removed from the site, but the body of a Filipina maid identified as Michelle is yet to be found, Karwan Mirawdali, spokesperson for Erbil’s civil defense teams, told Rudaw on Sunday.

Some remains have been found and sent to Erbil’s forensic medicine department. “We cannot be certain that the body parts are Michelle’s, and Erbil's forensics department says the results will be out in a week,” he said.

On Monday night, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired ten ballistic missiles at what it alleged was a Mossad base in the family home of Kurdish businessman Peshraw Dizayee. Dizayee, his baby daughter Zhina, businessman Karam Mikhail, and a Filipina housemaid, Michelle, were killed in the attack.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has categorically denied the existence of Israeli intelligence bases in the Kurdistan Region.

Iraqi officials concur, with National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji on Tuesday stating on X that “the claims that a Mossad headquarters was targeted are baseless.”

A representative from Dizayee’s business, Falcon Group, also denied that the business magnate had any ties to intelligence agencies.

“The accusations [of espionage] shocked us more than the attacks did because Mr. Peshraw was not involved in political and partisan activities and had no ties with intelligence agencies. He was purely neutral,” the representative told Rudaw.
